What can a moderator do when member's don't wish to join because their web filters reject Yahoo Groups?

It's a fact that some of the content on Yahoo Groups is offensive to some. It's a fact that web filters consistently reject potentially new members to my group-- not because of the content of my site, but because of others. Are there ways to get around these filters?
