Guys.... would you want to receive a handmade quilt from your girlfriend?

I have been dating a 41-year-old guy on and off for 2 years. When we first started dating he had nonchalantly made the comment that he would like to have a quilt made out of jeans. If I were to make him one for Christmas, do you think he would find it tacky? What do you think his thoughts would be?
