Can anyone hypnostize?

LOL! Yes, I am certified in hypnotherapy and I've done it, but I rarely use it in practice to be honest. There is little need for it with the type of clients I work with who spontaneously go into trance (they dissociate) and the goal is more or less to help them stop the automatic process. Hypnosis is relatively easy and nothing more than deep relaxation which allows more access unconscious mind which you can channel towards healthy processes. A subject must be willing in order to be hypnotized as it is a voluntary process generally. When I've done it in practice, it's been more for anxiety control and relaxation to facilitate pain management. You can take courses in Hypnotherapy through various universities, the most popular type is Ericksonian Hypnosis which tends to be permissive rather than directive.
