Would riding a bike be more effecient than running to get prepared for navy boot?

I am going to get into Navy DEP instead of waiting till boot, but i'd like to know if riding a bike every day would be better on my body than runnning like every single day. If running is better how long each day should i run? How many push ups should i do? How many sit ups should i do? and Whats the best way to memorize that sentinal stuff?
